Not Much Going On, Just Getting Better

Generally I am feeling better and better. Each day is an improvement - if I don't overdo. I find that mornings are good, with just a very mild feeling of malaise and my head feels like I am wearing a beenie and inside it's sort of tingly/fuzzy. By the end of the day, I have a headache that radiates out from behind my eyes to round the back of my neck. Not excruciating, but there none-the-less. So I take my medication and soon, as soon as they arrive, the additional supplements to counteract the prednisone which is making my face a bit puffy! Oh Oh Moonface!

Jenni in New Zealand sent me an email yesterday and it got me thinking about getting all my stories and pictures together and writing my history for the future. I started doing that a while ago but it has been sitting on the back burner. So what I need to do is redesign the web site to enable blog feeds then re-enter all the text and pix that are there. How much easier it is now! When I originally developed my site, it took hours and hours of designing, and a huge amount of patience that I didn't know I had. Now I think I can enter all the text through the blog site and have it feed there directly, all nicely formatted and I think I can even set the dates to where it registers correctly for those years of travel. The updates and trips I took could all be there and they would remain there for posterity - or as long as the internet survives. And I could print them out for an old-fashioned way of looking at things! Thanks, Jenni!

Today I am going to make a New York Cheesecake for Thanksgiving dinner at the Stengers. It's the same recipe I used years ago and is, as they say "To die for." It takes ages - it's so thick and fluffy and dense at the same time. And then I will make a lemon curd for the top. I'll post a pix when it's done.

I'm also working on my photos - sorting and deleting. I'll feel really good once I have that done. I will order archival dvds to store the pix then wipe the old off this machine and free up a lot of space. Photos are the only things I collect and deleting is going to be really difficult. But I really don't need 90% of them! And if they are backed up on disk - hell I still have them!

So, new plan for the morning. Off to Port Townsend, have coffee with Susan, take care of a couple of chores and come home and bake cheesecake.
